Sound Familiar?
I don't know whether I'm coming or going at the moment..hope I'm not the only one :)
The mayhem was broken up a bit this weekend with a nice distraction organised by my lovely friend Jane who kindly opened up her garden to the public for a little Easter Fair..I managed to take a few pics before anyone arrived.

There were lovely crafts and an Easter treasure hunt,

Delicious homemade cakes made with eggs from Jane's 3 hens (who were a bit camera shy and I couldn't get a photo of ) also fresh lemon curd and homemade lemonade.......

I had a little corner doing face painting, which.. despite my worries that I would be rubbish was great fun :) and the kids seemed quite pleased with their wonky bunnies and glittery chicks.

The sun shone and a good day was had by all and we managed to raise some money for the Hen Welfare Trust and eat any cakes that were left over so happy bunnies all round...
Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend

I just wanted to say....Apologies for my lack of posts and visits to your lovely blogs, normal service will be resumed soon and hello and thank you to new followers and readers, I do appreciate that you take a peep into my Tea soaked,Fabric obsessed, Morrissey warbling world :)

Meet the Family - spooks

The Toilet Roll family have had a make-over this week, any excuse to dress up is fine by me and even better when all it involves is some small bits of fabric and some plasticine! I've become very attatched to these little cardboard guys, they stand in a row on a shelf in the hall and everytime I run upstairs past them I smile to myself thinking about how they are very quiet, never answer back or bark, never make a mess or smell and are very cheap to keep!

I have to admit its getting harder and harder to make 8 and 9 year old boys sit down and make anything these days but the opportunity to make gory monster type items was too tempting even for them..... and I love the fact that Herman looks less scarey now than he did as himself :)

I also dug out these lanterns from last year, so simple to make from old jam jars and tissue paper, they look fab hanging from trees or in the window at night.
Have a great week x x x x

SHOCK absorbers

I'm ashamed to say that I left someone out of the toilet roll family photo's.... I can't believe I did because he is the one thing that is constantly by my side, always happy to see me and eternally gratefull of everything I do... Sorry little Arn, I hope I have made amends!!!

On another note, I shouldn't really be here right now, I was supposed to be noodling around the Trafford Centre with a promise of maybe a little treat from the Cath K shop,a bite to eat and a film!!!! (boys away at grandparents!!) But in reality something fell off the car halfway there which resulted in us sitting in a shell garage forecourt, 'herman' munching on a cheese and onion pasty!( I politely declined ) Then being towed home, just in time for the neighbours to see me do a ridiculous Norman Wisdom-like trip getting down from the HUGE steps at the side of the truck! Yay!! It'll just have to be a bottle of wine and Kingpin again x x x x
