bunny..chick/chick...bunny.......

I like bunnies.......

and I like chicks...........

but which is better?????

I peaked too early with the easter decorations and became mildly obsessed with bunny and bird stuff so much that I forgot to do the easter tree..........must go do that now, also have forgotten where I hid the easter eggs that I bought weeks ago :)

This week I have been mostly.......

......trying to keep the house tidy when the boys are off school......not possible... so I took myself off to the fabric cupboard and tidied that instead, quite obsessively... into colour co-ordinated piles which I then sat and stared at...... while mayhem went on around me :)

there's something comforting about the look and feel of these happy little piles that I sat for a long time admiring and arranging them...... I think my favourite is the pink pile.....

then I started on the pillowcase pile......

Anyway the moral of this story is that when I came to put them all back in the cupboard they wouldn't all go in ...so I gave myself a good talking to....decided that I would make some things to keep so that I can still see these lovelies everyday but the rest will have to go off to the shelves of littleteawagon....gulp...

and then the cupboard door will close :)

Making a mess...having fun.....

I know that there are lots of these on flickr and lovely blogs etc but I wanted to have a go at making one of these little birdhouses......they are so much fun to make and it's true to say I am addicted to p.v.a glue, paper and making a bit of a mess..... if you are too,

here's a quick 'how to'

I finished it off by making a small hole and putting a lolly stick through it for a bird to stand on, I did use my little £ shop chicks at first but then I remembered I had got these little birds (Caramelos on etsy)

No small children were involved in the making of this project......they were behind the shed, mixing buckets of mud and doing things with a microscope!!!

Things needed to make this are....any boxes,masking tape,p.v.a glue, papers,newspaper,fabric trims,stickers......anything you can get your hands on and a little chick/bird

Entertain me............

There has to be a good reason to make me get up at 7am on a cold wet sunday morning....but heres a couple.....

....of cute things found at a car boot sale last weekend. As its school holidays here...day 2!! we've already been through the bickering and squabbling that comes with two boys (very close in age) but this game kept us quiet for a bit yesterday, I don't (won't) read game rules so we made up our own .....

Well it kept me entertained for a while anyway :)

There is a light and it never goes out.........

Oh yes I can make my posts relate to Smiths song titles (honestly)

....it's been a funny old week, do you ever have times where you can't remember how one minute you're making little garlands......the next you're making tea...then you're sewing up new bags.....then parents evening....more sewing....cleaning the toilet....more sewing.. crochet....dog walking....then before you know it your 30 feet underground with 25 Cubs in an air raid shelter!!???!!

For someone who is claustrophobic and scared of the dark it was quite a night! When someone suggested a black out down there (torches off!!)...well I was running towards the light quicker than you could say "don't trip over your battery pack" (which of course I did)

Anyway I made it back and managed to finish the bags, one of which will be a giveaway prize next week....I will post the details about this on Sunday as its not going to be on this blog... but it promises to be a week of wonderful things to win :)
