Favorite Campaign: Dove Real Beauty

I am an advertising/public relations major, so I can't help but give recognition to a fabulous campaign. If you follow me on Twitter @arianavoyer especially, you will see I frequently post about campaigns, TED talks and Mashable articles.

Just published hours ago is the newest addition to the Dove "Real Beauty" campaign. They only seem to get better and better over time, digging deeper into the internal emotions of personal beauty.

I strongly encourage each and every one of you to watch this video HERE and realize that the flaws you put upon yourself often go unrecognized by your peers. The fact of the matter is everyone is beautiful in their own way and no one is perfect.

If you want to see the Mashable article on this campaign, THIS will bring you directly to that!

xx, Ariana

P.S. New beauty and fashion posts coming soon! I sincerely apologize for the delay. It has been incredibly hectic as I am finishing up classes and preparing for finals week.

Favorite Beauty Gurus: Part 3

If you've been following me for a while, then you are probably familiar with my 'Favorite Beauty Gurus' series: Part 1 & Part 2. It's about that time for an updated list of more beauty bloggers/YouTubers I follow and LOVE!
  • Annie Jaffrey
    • Twitter: twitter.com/AnnieJaffrey
    • Blog: www.anniejaffrey.com
    • Annie is by far one of my absolute favorites to date! She lives in NYC, has a Swiss background, and is a very healthy and happy girl. I admire her a lot. Her blog is just as impressive as her channel, so definitely check out both. She just seems very genuine and sincere, which I think is something not everyone can portray immediately online. She has a great sense of city style and enjoys sharing healthy recipes to help other girls be happy with their bodies.
  • Ingrid (Miss Glamorazzi)
    • Twitter: twitter.com/missglamorazzi
    • Facebook: here
    • Ingrid is fun to watch due to her peppy personality. She's silly but has great taste in fashion, jewelry, and makeup of course. She's one of the few YouTubers that I've followed who admits to having very oily skin, something that I share with her. Watching her videos will brighten your day, so check out her channel linked above!
  • Rachel Talbott (Check In The Mirror)
    • Twitter: twitter.com/racheltalbott
    • Facebook: here
    • Blog: www.checkinthemirror.blogspot.com
    • When you watch Rachel's videos, you can only imagine how incredibly sweet and genuine she is. She has experience in the industry and brings forth her knowledge for staying healthy and maintaining good skin. She updates her blog very frequently and is a part of my list of what to browse before going to sleep each night! She also includes fashion/OOTDs into her videos and blog, as well as relationship advice.
  • Nikki Phillippi
    • Twitter: twitter.com/NikkiPhillippi
    • Facebook: here
    • Blog: nikkiphillippi.blogspot.com
    • Nikki is good friends with many of the other gurus such as Rachel and Ingrid in this post. She has such an amazing sense of humor and is also very genuine like Rachel. She is unique to YouTube I think due to her background and is very down-to-earth. She also has many blog posts and videos about staying healthy, eating well, and overall taking care of your skin. She suffered with acne in the past and has shared her stories to overcome and maintain better skin. She's also awesome to follow on Instagram, so check her out there too!
Make sure you check out all of these beauty gurus! Who are your favorites?

xx, Ariana

Part 2: Favorite Beauty Gurus

One of my most popular posts was where I covered my favorite beauty gurus whose blogs/YouTube channels I follow every day and are my inspiration for my blog and for my personal makeup purchases! I only featured six in that post, but over time, I have a lot more that I'd like to share with all of you. For now, I'll stick to four, but look forward to a 'Part 3' soon!
